Week 9 Results -- Congratulations!

Boy do we LOTS of bowling news!  First off, congratulations to the Lickety Splits for wrapping up the first playoff spot of the season with their strong performance last week!  Tied in second place were Split Happens and Bowling in the Deep -- those teams are now tied for the lead in the end-of-year wildcard race for the final playoff spot, since they have the most season-long points by a non-qualified team.

There were some fantastic scores bowled last week, apart from the playoffs -- Rich Villanueva won the pizza with a fantastic 205 (+62) in the second game, and Brian Treanor took over the top spot in the men's high handicap game and series categories with some outstanding bowling, including a third-game score nearly 100 pins over his average!  Their team Low Hangers also took over the top spot in the high handicap game competition for the season so far.

We had an outstanding accomplishment away from regular league play as well -- congratulations to Tim Yaeger for shooting a perfect 300 game in the Scratch Masters competition at last weekend's IGBO Mid-Year Tournament in Rochester, NY!!  Tim vaulted up the leaderboard in that game and fell just short of winning the Scratch Masters event.  He earned several other awards during the event, including second place in the Scratch All-Events category.  Congratulations on a fantastic performance!

As a reminder, we will be bowling the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (next week) -- however, as always, if you will be away for the holiday you are welcome to pre-bowl at any time before that week's scheduled bowling.

The strike jackpot continues to grow, as we've gone several weeks now with no winners -- and remember, you can't win if you don't enter!!  See you on the lanes!
