Congratulations to 4 Pins 8 Balls, who won the second spot in this year's playoffs with their clutch performance this week. Two of their team members were in the running for the pizza award, but it was Dave Slatcher who edged out Andrew Rapp, bowling a 226 or 62 pins over his average. That second game was a big one for the whole team -- they made a run at overtaking the first place in the High Handicap Game competition for the season, but fell just four pins short in the end.
Andrew may not have won the pizza award this week, but he did win during week 17 for his 189, which was 54 pins over his average. That wasn't even his best game of the night -- he followed that game up with a dazzling 242 in his final game, for an amazing 107 pins over his average! Great bowling everyone!
The third trimester starts next Tuesday, so our point totals will start over again one last time. Remember that there will also be a fourth playoff spot awarded to the team with the most season-long point who did not already qualify for the playoffs -- at the moment, Bowl Movements is in first place with 85 points, Three Finger Mary's hold second with 80, and Andy's Angels are right behind with 78 points.
And here's one more bonus for those of you who missed it -- in case you feel bad about how you bowled last week, take heart -- chances are you still beat Tom Daugherty:
Be safe in all this snow, and we'll see you on Tuesday night!
