First off, congratulations to Doreen Donohue for winning the week 7 pizza award with a fantastic 221 game -- Doreen now leads the women's high scratch game and series categories with her performance from two weeks ago.
In week 8, our pizza winner was Tony Perry for his 195 game (+47). Our bracket winner was Bill Edelman, who defeated Juan Ramirez in the final to win the first place prize. Dorreen Schiavone was our lucky ball contenstant, but she knocked down a few too many pins during her attempt, so next week's lucky ball jackpot should be more than $250!
Most importantly, we are now set up for our first position round of the season -- with their performance last week, Quick Release has vaulted over 4 Pins 8 Balls and Bowl Movements into first place. However, all three of those teams are mathematically still in the running for our first playoff spot, since Quick Release is only two points ahead of the others. As a reminder, if there is a tie in points for the first place spot after next Tuesday, the team with the higher total pinfall (including handicap) for the trimester will be declared the winner.
