The Northeast Invitational Tournament (NEIT)

Our league is sanctioned through the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO), and IGBO chapters throughout the country host regional and national bowling tournaments.  Next month on Columbus Day weekend, the two Beantown leagues will be hosting the Northeast Invitational Tournament (NEIT).  IGBO tournaments are a great way to meet bowlers from all around the country -- and this tournament in particular is a great way to "get your feet wet" bowling in a competitive tournament format.  (And don't worry, there's nothing to be intimidated by, because all skill levels are well represented at every IGBO event!)

In addition to the bowling, we will be hosting a candlepin exhibition event on Friday night during registration, a casino night event after the conclusion of Saturday's bowling, and an awards banquet on Sunday evening.

Now is a good time to start thinking about whether you might be interested in bowling at the tournament -- space will be limited, and the entry deadline is fast approaching.  Toby Pineau, who is our league's IGBO Representative, will be on hand during league play and can tell you more about what tournament bowling is like and how you can register to play.  The NEIT website also has a lot of information, including the application and the schedule of events.

If you're interested in volunteering to help with the different events that we will be hosting, you can also talk with any of the league officers.
